OAG Schedules Data

OAG is the operator of the world’s largest flight schedules database.

The OAG database currently holds schedules data for over 1,000 airlines. OAG ensures it offers the most comprehensive coverage by including carriers with both IATA and ICAO designators plus low cost, charter, freighter airlines, and IATA coded rail services.

OAG stays one step ahead by proactively sourcing flight schedules data from start-up and new airline activities.

OAG is tracking the schedules of over 180,000 individually numbered flights, with the total number of flight records on OAG’s database exceeding 1.2 million.

The increasing frequency of schedules changes continues to be apparent as 80 -120 airlines update their schedules in OAG’s database on a daily basis. These airlines account for approximately 30% of the total schedules data volume on our systems. OAG processes schedules updates for a total of approximately 1,000 airlines every month.

The number of airlines submitting schedules via automated methods continues to increase, with almost 400 airlines currently updating their data in this way.

Minimum Connection Time (MCT) data is fundamental in the creation of flight connections in distribution systems. During the last 5 years, the use of airline-specific MCT exceptions has grown significantly to over 39,000, bringing our total number of MCT data records to almost 51,500.

OAG’s Database Management team employs a wide-variety of validation checks on all data submitted to our database, regardless of the update method. This ensures that consolidated data is distributed free from errors and to meet the individual requirements of both suppliers and recipients. This often results in OAG enhancing elements of the data we receive.

OAG’s high standards in data comprehensiveness and quality continue to be recognised in the industry.
